使用安非他明和安非他明类药物禁忌，在患有先进的动脉硬化症状性或不稳定的心脏或是脑血管疾病、中度至严重的血压，或者甲状腺机能亢进。像其他的交感神经胺、苯丙胺类可能会导致心血管不利影响，例如心慌、心动过速、心脏的心律失常，并提升血压力。很少，心肌病表现为心室肥大和/或充血性心力衰竭已经报告期间慢性苯丙胺的使用。此外，突然死亡已经报告了在关联的与苯丙胺的治疗剂量通常在儿童与结构性心脏异常。在一般情况下，安非他明不应使用的患者的心脏结构异常。如果没有无禁忌，治疗安非他明应给予谨慎，在患者与当前或过去的历史的心血或脑血管疾病。
